The story follows Mariam, a young call center employee preparing for her CSS exams (5:59), who has to rush home late at night because her mother is sick (2:44). After navigating unsafe streets and encountering creepy men (4:00), she is relieved to get a ride from a female cab driver named Rano (6:29). During the journey, Rano shares her inspiring story of taking over her late husband's taxi to support her children's education (9:00). However, the film delivers a chilling supernatural twist at the end (12:13). When Mariam reaches home safely and tries to introduce Rano to her mother (11:44), the driver vanishes (12:13). A breaking news report on the television reveals that Rano had actually been abducted, assaulted, and killed a week prior (12:34)—implying that it was Rano's protective spirit that ensured Mariam didn't suffer the same tragic fate (11:34). The film concludes by questioning society's silence on the continuous violence against women (13:37).
