The story opens with an investigation into the death of a man named Faizan, who supposedly died in a tragic kitchen fire caused by a gas leak (2:31). Faizan's brother, Wajdan, aggressively accuses his sister-in-law, Rubab (Sehrish Faryal), of murdering his brother (3:00). Rubab maintains her innocence to the police, portraying her marriage as normal (5:00) despite neighbors reporting domestic abuse and toxic fights driven by Faizan's drug habits (6:45). Following a thorough investigation, the police find no evidence of foul play and officially rule the death an accident (15:45). They close the case, leaving Wajdan furious and locked up briefly for his aggressive behavior (18:08). Rubab visits Wajdan in his cell and smoothly mocks his helplessness, whispering directly to him that she is indeed the killer (22:28). The film's final twist reveals a darker conspiracy: Faizan is actually alive and Rubab's lover (24:57). Drowned in massive business debts, Faizan had broken down, fearing for his life (25:58). To save him, Rubab—who works at a hospital—arranged an unclaimed dead body to burn in the kitchen (8:29), leaving a deliberate trail of gas leakage and calling a repairman to create a perfect alibi (16:05). With the case closed, Rubab secures Faizan's massive insurance payout (29:37), allowing the couple to clear the debts and run away together to start a completely new life (29:57).
